CSMS is one of CBP’s methods for communicating to our trade partners news and updates on our automated systems – namely the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). CBP’s Trade Transformation Office is upgrading its mass email capabilities by transitioning the legacy CSMS system to a new technology platform. The purpose of the transition is to provide a more dependable messaging service for the trade using upgraded technology. The new platform will provide other added benefits as well (e.g., elimination of duplicative messages, improved message formatting, ability to include hyperlinks, etc.). A New CSMS Page has been created in advance of the transition so that users may familiarize with the new structure for viewing/searching posted messages. Information on how to access an archive of older CSMS messages can be found on the New CSMS Page information sheet. This page will continue to be updated until June 30, 2019. After June 30th, you’ll need to review the New CSMS Page to view the most up to date message feed. This page will remain available for reference until September 30th, 2019.
